About the Artist

Orli Shaham’s Bach Yard, in association with Ensemble Connect, brings young children the joy of a live concert in an interactive setting. The internationally acclaimed pianist Orli Shaham and her friends combine performances with storytelling, costumed musicians, and audience participation. You’ll also have a chance to come on stage and make music with the performers, yourself!

You'll meet all the instruments in the woodwind family and see how to make music just by breathing. Orli and wind players from Ensemble Connect will play music by Bach, Mozart, and much much more.

Ensemble Connect is a program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and the Weill Music Institute in partnership with the New York City Department of Education.

“This age is a key time to develop lifelong loves and skills. It's the best moment to pick up a second language, and music is exactly that. If you learn it at that age, it will stay with you forever.”

- Orli Shaham
